The Like a Dragon (formerly known in the West as Yakuza) franchise is a JRPG/Beat ‘Em Up hybrid series set in Japan. The game series is known for its intricate, serious, crime stories based around passionate men trying to stop organised crime syndicates and corrupt police officials – juxtaposed with absolutely bonkers gameplay, minigames and combat.
Kiryu goes into that fight with zero injuries and comes out of it completely unable to stand. It's easily the most tired we've seen him, at least when he didn't have any bullets or stab wounds. Edit because I just remembered: He also beat Kanda, a guy that put up a solid fight against Kiryu, to DEATH and basically incapacitated him after one
RELATED: Yakuza: Hidden Details You Never Noticed About Kiryu's Fighting Style The Japanese title for the series lends itself more to this side of the franchise. Ryu ga Gotoku, meaning Like A Dragon, refers directly to Kiryu and his noble efforts of trying to reach his full potential (stemming from the folktale of the Koi evolving into a dragon

That's what happens when you binge an entire series, stuff starts getting jumbled. Ryuji did give kiryu some issues as well though. Their fight was closer than I would've thought given Kiryu is practically super human. It's kinda funny they had 2 games in a row where the villain had similarities to Kiryu back to back.

Kiryu is on an entirely different level compared to Akiyama, you gotta remember, Akiyama has only really fought 2-3 group fights and 2 bosses by that point while Kiryu fought 4.25 games worth of people Their fight in 6 wasn’t also all-out, it’s two guys wanting to prove a point but also unwilling to really hurt each other

Touché. It is also true that Kuze goes from trying to kill Kiryu due to him sticking out to finally acknowledging that he is a real yakuza, and fighting him for the final time to confirm his statement post 4th fight; on the other hand, Amon's only objective throughout the games is to kill Kiryu in order to be the strongest assassin in the world, and feels greatly frustrated every time he is
In my head, after he went full evil, he started training and became much physically stronger before his showdown with Kiryu in 2005. Another theory is that he could've also seemed stronger (lore-wise, not gameplay-wise) because Kiryu was emotionally weak to fighting him compared to literally anyone else he ever had to fight.
Keiki Kiryuu (桐生 慧輝, Kiryū Keiki?) is the main protagonist of the series. He is a second-year high school student who wants a girlfriend and a part of the Calligraphy Club. Keiki is an average looking teenage boy with blue/purple eyes and hair. He has described himself as not the most good-looking guy when comparing himself to Shouma Akiyama whilst asking why he would be given a love
Kiryu is easily the most forgiving one. He isnt killing pawns. If Kiryu had a massive body count everyone would know. And there would be no rumors spread about him not killing people whatsoever if he is killing hundreds of guys left and right. Virtually every single fight kiryu gets in is self defense in the first place.
Kazuma Kiryu: Legend Style. Kiryu's secret style is the Dragon of Dojima Style. He unlocks it once he completes the Real Estate Royale storyline. You can't switch to the style like with the others using the D-Pad. Instead, go to the Pause Menu and hit the Light Attack button to switch over. Dragon of Dojima is Kiryu's classic style from other
